Dr. Gary M. Deckard is the founder and principal consultant of Augurance LLC, bringing over 35 years of military and civilian leadership experience in cybersecurity, technology management, and workforce development. He is a decorated combat veteran and retired U.S. Army officer, with extensive operational and program management expertise supporting federal, state, and commercial clients.

Dr. Deckard holds a PhD in Security Informatics from Indiana University and an MBA from Oakland City University. He is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and Project Management Professional (PMP). His work includes leading large-scale cybersecurity initiatives, developing training programs for IT/OT cybersecurity and network security assessments, NIST 800-171 and CMMC compliance programs, and building custom leadership development solutions for technical teams.
